Recipe Ingredients
- 2 ½ pounds organic chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves pressed garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Sesame seeds
- Scallions
Spicy Orange Sauce Ingredients
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup Tropicana Pure Premium OJ
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 cloves pressed garlic
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Recipe Directions
- Place the wings into a bowl and toss with soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Marinate for 2 hours.
- To prepare sauce, add all ingredients into a saucepan and whisk to blend and dissolve cornstarch.
- Place over medium heat and bring to simmer, whisking occasionally, until glossy.
- Remove from heat and allow to slightly cool before tossing wings into sauce.
Baking the Chicken
- To bake chicken wings, preheat the oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil. Place chicken pieces onto center/lower rack and bake for 28 minutes. After 28 minutes, turn the broiler on high for 2 minutes until crispy.
- To finish, toss the wings in the spicy orange chicken sauce to coat and place onto a serving platter. Sprinkle over sesame seeds and scallions. Serve hot.
