Recipe Ingredients
- 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice
OJ Glaze
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- Zest of 1/2 orange
- 1-2 tablespoons Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted)
Recipe Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, butter, and zest together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and beat until well combined.
- While mixing, add flour mixture, alternating with the orange juice until fully combined. Scoop dough into 1 tablespoon balls onto cookie sheet, spaced 2 inches apart. Bake each sheet for 10 minutes or until centers appear dry and feel firm to the touch. Let cool for a few minutes then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
For the Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together confectioners' sugar, zest, juice, and melted butter until smooth. Spread the glaze over the top of each cookie. Let cookies stand until glaze is set, about 20 minutes.
