Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 packages (15 count, each) Athens® Phyllo Shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 ounces of cheese (any combination of sliced cheddar, pepper jack, and/or crumbled blue cheese)

Optional Garnishes:

  • Pickles
  • Sweet potato chips
  • Canned french-fried onions
  • Cooked bacon

Recipe Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Shape heaping tablespoons of ground beef into 30 patties. Cook patties in a large frying pan over medium heat for 2 minutes on each side. Drain on a paper towel.
  3. Place phyllo shells on a baking sheet. Top each shell with a mini burger and a portion of cheese. Bake for about 6 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the shells are crisp.
  4. Serve warm with assorted toppings of choice.
