Recipe Ingredients
- 1 box of Mrs. T's® Classic Onion Pierogies
- Olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 teaspoons ginger, grated
- 2 cups orange juice
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
- 3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups broccoli
- Green onions, chopped, to garnish
- Sesame seeds, to garnish
Recipe Directions
- In a pan, add a drizzle of olive oil and sauté crushed garlic and grated ginger for 3 minutes. Pour in orange juice. In a small bowl, combine 2 tsp corn starch and 2 tsp water and pour into mixture. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, seasonings, and sesame oil. Stir and simmer on medium-low heat until the sauce thickens, about 12 minutes.
- In a separate pan, add a large drizzle of olive oil and sauté pierogies on medium heat for 16 minutes, flipping halfway to cook them evenly on each side.
- While the pierogies are cooking, steam fresh broccoli in a separate pot for 5-6 minutes.
- Add the broccoli to the cooked pierogies along with the orange sauce, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy.
