Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 box of Mrs. T's® Classic Onion Pierogies
  • Olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, grated
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • Green onions, chopped, to garnish
  • Sesame seeds, to garnish

Recipe Directions

  1. In a pan, add a drizzle of olive oil and sauté crushed garlic and grated ginger for 3 minutes. Pour in orange juice. In a small bowl, combine 2 tsp corn starch and 2 tsp water and pour into mixture. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, seasonings, and sesame oil. Stir and simmer on medium-low heat until the sauce thickens, about 12 minutes.
  2. In a separate pan, add a large drizzle of olive oil and sauté pierogies on medium heat for 16 minutes, flipping halfway to cook them evenly on each side.
  3. While the pierogies are cooking, steam fresh broccoli in a separate pot for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Add the broccoli to the cooked pierogies along with the orange sauce, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy.
