Recipe Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 4 ounces fresh mozzarella, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- 4 ciabatta buns, split and toasted
- 1 cup jarred roasted red pepper strips
- 1 cup packed baby arugula
- 1 beefsteak tomato, sliced
Recipe Directions
- Preheat air-fryer to 375°F. Form beef into 4 equal balls. Press desired amount of cheese into center of each ball, and cover with beef. Form balls into patties. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Coat air-fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Place patties in air-fryer and cook for 9 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until reaching desired doneness.
- Meanwhile, combine mayonnaise and pesto together in a small bowl.
- Spread mayonnaise mixture on both sides of buns. Top each bottom bun with a patty. Layer with peppers, arugula, and tomato, and top with a bun lid. Serve and enjoy.
