Recipe Directions
Heat oven to 400°F. Combine all crust ingredients except 1/3 cup butter and water in large bowl. Cut in 1/3 cup butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in enough water with fork just until moistened.
Shape dough into ball; flatten slightly. Roll out on lightly floured surface into 12-inch circle. Fold into quarters. Place dough into ungreased 9-inch pie pan; unfold dough, pressing firmly against bottom and sides. Crimp or flute edge. Set aside.
Combine all filling ingredients except apples in large bowl. Add apples; toss lightly to coat. Spoon apple mixture into prepared crust.
Combine all streusel ingredients except 1/4 cup butter in small bowl. Cut in 1/4 cup butter using pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; sprinkle evenly over filling. Cover edge of crust with 2-inch strip aluminum foil.
Bake for 35 minutes; remove foil. Continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is lightly browned and juice begins to bubble through streusel. Cool pie 1 hour. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
