Recipe Ingredients
- 1 (8-oz.) package refrigerated crescent dough
- 6 refrigerated precooked sausage links
- 6 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- ketchup for garnish
Recipe Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Unroll dough onto a cutting board and separate into 4 rectangles. Set 1 rectangle aside and pinch seam together. Separate remaining dough into 6 triangles.
- Starting at the wide end of each triangle, cut each into four (1/4-inch wide) strips. (This will make the legs for 3 spiders.) Use remaining dough from the 6 triangles to roll into 3 balls to use for the heads. Arrange 8 strips of dough onto a baking sheet, and top with 1 ball of dough for head, so it looks like spider (as seen in photo). Repeat 2 more times.
- Cut the rectangle of dough that you set aside into 6 (1/4-inch-wide) strips. Wrap 1 piece of dough around each sausage link (as seen in photo). Place on the same baking sheet as spiders. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, whisk eggs, water, salt, and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter; add egg mixture and scramble until set.
- Evenly spoon eggs on individual plates, top each with a freshly baked edible spider, and serve with 2 mummy sausages. Use ketchup for the mummy and spider eyes, or use any other edible decorations to add your own personal touch.
Mr. Food Test Kitchen Tip:
- To make this even more spook-tacular, why not serve this with what we call Tombstone waffles. We simply toasted frozen brown sugar-cinnamon Wafflers and decorated them with some killer sugar decorations. How creepy, yet fun!
