Tilapia Fish Tacos


Turn your ordinary "Taco Tuesday" into a "Fish Taco Tuesday" for a lighter touch! 


  • 5 4-oz. frozen Tilapia filets
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • olive oil spray
  • 2-3 limes
  • Cooking spray
  • 8 Flour or whole wheat heart-healthy tortillas 
Optional Toppings:
  • Guacamole
  • Fresh salsa
  • Nonfat sour cream
  • Lettuce
  • Low fat shredded cheese


Place tilapia filets on a piece of aluminum foil place on a cookie sheet. Spray lightly with olive oil spray. Sprinkle taco seasoning on the filet. Slice limes; place lime slices over the filet. Cover with foil, as if to make a package. Place in a preheated 325 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes. 

Optional: While fish is baking, heat a small pan over medium heat and then spray with cooking spray. Add tortilla, cooking and heating both sides; repeat with each tortilla. 
After tilapia is cooked through, open up foil packet and discard limes. Fill each tortilla with a portion of fish and then top with desired toppings.
