Delicious and easy to follow, this is a French toast recipe that everyone will love.
- 1 32-oz. DANNON® All Natural Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar, divided
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Zest of one orange
- 8 thick slices country style or potato bread
- 1/2 cup seedless berry jam
Pre–heat oven 350 degrees F. In a bowl mix together DANNON® All Natural Vanilla Lowfat yogurt, eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, cinnamon and orange zest.
Pour approximately 2 cups of the yogurt mixture into a greased 9” x 12” baking dish. Place 4 slices of bread on the bottom. Spread the 2 tablespoons of the berry jam over each of the bread slices. Top each with another piece of bread and pour remaining yogurt mixture over top. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to soak.
Refrigerated at least 2 hours, or overnight. Bake 30 minutes or until puffed and golden. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup sugar and place under the broiler.
