Who doesn't love good garlic bread? This recipe takes it to the next level! Yum.
- 1 large (14 to 15-in.) Italian bread, split
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 cups (8-oz.) Sargento® Fancy Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or Sargento® Fancy Shredded 6 Cheese Italian Cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- Marinara or pizza sauce, heated (optional)
Place bread on baking sheet cut sides up; set aside. Combine butter and oil in medium bowl; mix well. Stir in cheeses, garlic and oregano.
Spread mixture evenly over bread slices. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Slice and serve with marinara sauce, if desired.
