Try this recipe for a warm apple spice cake using frozen pound cake, apple pie filling and spices.
- 1 Sara Lee® Pound Cake, thawed
- 1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- Cinnamon ice cream for serving (optional)
Heat oven to 425F. Slice pound cake in half horizontally. Place the two halves in an 8x8 in. pan. In a medium bowl, combine apple pie filling, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Spoon apple mixture over cake. Bake at 425F for 10-15 minutes or until warm. Serve warm with cinnamon ice cream, if desired.
