- Edy's Presents MILKY WAY® Ice Cream
- 8-oz. of semisweet or milk chocolate for "solar rings"
- 8-oz. of white chocolate for stars
- Chocolate sauce or syrup
To make the solar rings, melt either dark chocolate or milk chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. When melted and smooth, remove from heat. Let rest 5 minutes to cool. Take a plastic storage bag (or a pastry bag fitted with a small round tip) and fill the bag, no more than halfway, with the melted chocolate. Clip a small hole off one corner of the bag or use your pastry bag and pipe round swirls of chocolate onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet, leaving about a 2-to-3-inch-diameter area in the center free of chocolate. Chill to set.
To make the white chocolate stars, melt white chocolate in the top of a double boiler and pipe an outline of a star on a parchment-lined cookie sheet; fill in with more white chocolate to make solid stars. Repeat as desired. Chill to set.
To serve, pool chocolate sauce or syrup on a serving plate. Place one large scoop of ice cream on top. Garnish with solar rings and stars.
