Double Chocolate Brownies

Description

Bake these super simple yet decadent brownies for the special people in your life.

Ingredients

  • 1 (6- to 7-ounce) package (12 to 16) caramel or mint-filled chocolate squares 
  • 1 (10.25-ounce) package fudge brownie mix
  • 1/3 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 Land O Lakes® Egg
  • Powdered sugar, if desired

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°F. Line 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil, extending foil over edges. Spray with no-stick cooking spray; set aside. Unwrap or break apart chocolate squares; set aside. 
 
Combine brownie mix, melted butter, water and egg in bowl; stir until well mixed. Spread half of brownie batter into prepared pan. Place chocolate squares over batter in single layer. Top with the remaining batter; spread to cover chocolate completely. 
 
Bake 26-30 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired. 
 
Recipe Tips:
Look for filled chocolate squares in the candy section of the supermarket.
