QUICK
TIPS
- Put a purchase
date on all frozen food products, then rotate foods, putting
newly purchased items in the back of the freezer. Use products
on a "first in, first out" basis
- Ice cream
is best when stored between -5 and 0°F.; it will be firm
enough to hold its shape, but easy to dip between 6 and 10°F
- Always
be sure to keep dairy products refrigerated at temperatures
between 36 - 40 degrees. Never store dairy products above 45
degrees.
- One serving
of dairy equals:
8
oz. milk
8 oz. yogurt
1 oz. natural cheese
2 oz. processed cheese
